About the Role
As a Fund Servicing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day fund servicing operations while ensuring accurate transaction processing and compliance with internal policies. The role requires close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and clients to deliver efficient operational support.
You will contribute to improving operational processes, maintaining service quality, and ensuring all transactions are completed accurately within the required timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Process client instructions such as subscriptions, redemptions, distributions, management fees, and other fund-related transactions.
- Record and update transactions accurately in accounting and custody systems.
- Support operations involving private equity, hedge funds, alternative investments, managed funds, and cash instruments.
- Monitor daily workflows, shared mailboxes, and operational queues to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Maintain operational records, daily checklists, processing evidence, and status reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and service-level agreements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues and improve processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Graduate degree in any discipline (Engineering and Postgraduate candidates are also eligible).
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial market products.
- Understanding of fund accounting, custody operations, fund administration, or investment operations.
- Familiarity with managed funds, private equity, hedge funds, alternative investments, or unit trusts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following qualifications will have an added advantage:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration.
- Experience with alternative investments or private market operations.
- Knowledge of reconciliation, cash management, and securities processing.
- Familiarity with workflow management, custody, accounting, or reconciliation platforms.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, or operational efficiency initiatives.
- Exposure to audit support, regulatory reporting, and operational control frameworks.
- Knowledge of Australian and New Zealand managed fund environments is a plus.
