About EY Cyber Triage and Forensics
The Cyber Defense Response Center (CDRC) at EY is responsible for monitoring, identifying, and responding to information security incidents that may impact the organization’s digital assets. The Cyber Triage and Forensics team works closely with incident response teams to detect cyber threats, investigate security alerts, and improve the organization’s security posture.
As a Cyber Triage and Forensic Junior Analyst, you will work with experienced cybersecurity professionals, gain exposure to advanced security technologies, and receive continuous training to enhance your technical skills and career growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for:
- Monitor and analyze security logs and alerts from multiple security platforms.
- Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents.
- Perform real-time monitoring of network and host-based security events.
- Analyze suspicious activities to determine potential security threats.
- Collaborate with security teams during incident investigations.
- Maintain security documentation and support cybersecurity projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve incident detection and response processes.
- Act as an escalation point for complex security issues when required.
- Perform detailed analysis of network traffic and host-based activities.
- Recommend improvements based on emerging cyber threat trends.
- Develop analytical procedures to improve incident detection efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement within the Cyber Defense Response Center.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess any of the following qualifications:
- B.Tech / BE
- BCA
- MCA
- B.Sc Computer Science
- B.Sc Information Technology
- M.Tech
- Any Graduate or Post Graduate in a relevant technical discipline
Required Skills
Applicants should have:
- Strong analytical and investigative abilities.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Security Operations Center (SOC) concepts.
- Understanding of cybersecurity incidents, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with log analysis and security event correlation.
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows administration (including Active Directory).
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Shell Script, PowerShell, Java, C, or C#.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas will have an added advantage:
- Security Monitoring or SOC Operations
- Incident Response
- Threat Detection
- Vulnerability Analysis
- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Log Correlation and Security Event Investigation
